Rockwick Capital was founded in 2008 by J. Kai Lassen, a Delaware corporate and finance attorney, who during his legal career with large New York and Delaware law firms handled corporate and commercial transactions for national clients, was a registered bond counsel, and represented his clients in registered and private equity offerings as well. Mr. Lassen serves as Rockwick's Managing Director and CEO.
A graduate Yale University with his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Lassen was decorated for his service as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Professionally he has served as the Chairman of the Estates and Trust Section of the Delaware State Bar Association, and was listed in the Bond Buyers Guide as a registered bond counsel. He has been listed for the past thirty years in Who's Who of American Lawyers, and for the past twenty years in Who's Who in America. Mr. Lassen serves on the Board of Directors of the Yale University Alumni Fund, and is a life member of the Yale Elizabethan Club. He is active in his community, having served as an officer and a Director of the Wilmington Rotary Club and Chairman of its Centennial Committee, and as an officer of the Rotary District for Delaware and the Eastern Shore of Maryland. He serves on the Conservancy Committee of the Delaware Nature Society. Among other activities, he is the past Governor of the Delaware Society of Mayflower Descendants, and the Vice President of the Delaware Huguenot Society.
